Years ago in answer to industry demand, Roto Hammer began test-marketing a limited number of sizes in a new line of chain wheels designated as the CL Series. Specifically designed and engineered to meet the less demanding service found in many chain wheel applications, the CL features a lighter weight casting which resulted in substantial savings to the end user. To enhance quality, all CL wheels are cast of ductile iron, acknowledged superior in the areas of strength, durability, resistance to metal fatigue and wear. The CL Series has been enthusiastically embraced by industry buyers and is now available in OEM handwheel sizes from 2" to 32".

Although the basic purpose of all chain wheels is the same - ground level control of overhead valves - operating conditions can vary widely. Specifiers must consider such matters as accessibility, corrosion factors, frequency of use, and for fail-safe reasons the possible need for an impact operator. Due to these operational variations, Roto Hammer Industries offers the widest range of chain wheels available today. For a majority of applications the CL series clamp-on model is the most cost-efficient. For long wear in high frequency applications we recommend our premium clamp-on C-Series. To provide an integrated valve application, the Roto Hammer direct mount premium E-Series may be preferred.
